Hi. I want to change a phone number but keep same sky phone / access to joint piggy bank etc - is it as simple as putting a new sim in?

Yes it is, when you have got this new Sky sim then just insert it in your new phone. The other sim will needs cancelling otherwise you will be paying for both of them.
