Factory reset

Do you lose all your favourites if you have to do a factory reset

Don't do a factory reset unless you're asked to buy Sky tech support because it will erase all of your account details and you'll cause chaos behind the scenes

All your settings like your playlist are stored on Skys servers so factory resets don't wipe them.

 

However you should never do a factory reset unless instructed by Sky support as this can go wrong. What sometimes happens is that the factory reset doesn't unlink your device from your Sky account which means you can't relink/reactivate it without intervention from a back office team that can take a couple of days. At least if being done at the instruction of a Sky support engineer whilst on a call/chat they can immediately escalate to the correct team to fix the problem should it occur.
