When trying to watch anything our Sky Stream continually pauses to load, skips bits of programmes and missed the sound whilst watching anything. It is driving me mad and impossible to watch TV on.

For reliable stream service you need a constant speed of 25mbps for HD & 35mbps for UHD, anything less will manifest itself in the issues you're experiencing.
