It makes sense but as it isn't possible to transfer a number between two Sky sims the only way to do it is to get a Pac for it and move it to a PAYG sim then get another Pac code from the PAYG network to transfer it back to the new Sky sim with the new data plan on it.
The only other thing to try is to call Sky to see if they will allow you to have the half price data plan on your current sim. 150 is the number to call them on.
