Piggy bank data rollover

If you have data in the sky piggy bank and transfer it out before the 12 months the data then goes back into the piggy bank do you get mother 12 months or does the data expiry regardless thanks

Re: Piggy bank data rollover

Hi there, any unused data will just roll back into the piggybank and be available in the next 12 months. The piggybank doesn't see a difference between data rolled from your monthly plan vs data prolled from the piggybank to the plan and then back into the piggybank at the end of the month.

Re: Piggy bank data rollover

This isn't correct. Data will NOT roll back into the piggy bank. I rolled all my data in my piggy bank back onto the sim as I was worried it might expire (12 month limit) before I could cash it in for rewards later in the year. At the end of the month my data was lost and only 1.5 Gb was rolled back into the piggy bank. I called customer service 3 weeks ago and they said they would look into it but nothing has happened.  I assume the data is lost

@Colin114

The process explained by @Lisa-P1987 is correct. You need to call Sky again to chase up why it didn't happen in your case.

Re: Piggy bank data rollover

Sorry if you don't like old threads being dug up, but I was wondering the very same thing, & happened upon this thread.

Lisa-P1987's answer is great, but I can't see any mention of more-than-once-re-rolled-over data in that terms link.

GIven Colin114's experience, I'd quite like to be certain that re-rolled-over data won't delete. If Lisa is still around, does a staff member's post on a forum count as policy, should Colin114's epxerience happen?

Hi @J.mie  currently what was previously said is correct, if you roll your data to a sim then that resets the 12 month clock. That's not to say sky won't change this in the future but for now it works.

@J.mie

So after 04/06/25 (since the previous responses on this thread) new Piggybank T's and C's have come into play. Any data older than 12 months was removed as a result.

Customers were made aware of this change in the April 2024 price change letters/emails but it's only come into effect this year which may be why quite a few customers have forgotten about it.

Unused data will return to the Piggybank each month and remain for 12 months before being removed.

Re: Piggy bank data rollover

Thank you both for replies. At my sim-only renewal they've offered me a cheaper, lower-data, plan... which will be great if I can keep my 44GB currently rolled-over! 🙂  I tired aksing the Sky chat, and 2 different people on 2 days were just trying to sell me a device, not answer about Piggy Bank.
