I've had a bit of a rocky upgrade and now that the dust is settled I needed to confirm a few aspects and raise some queries about my bill. Firstly I spoke to Kev (who I believe is in mobile cancellations) and he was a shining star in terms of discussing my contract, the outcomes of my decisions and providing me with all the information to be confident in my choices. Gold star customer service.   Then I had some questions about my delayed provisioning compensation so Kev transferred me to Alex in the broadband technical team and Alex was amazingly helpful, patient when I spoke about the troubles I'd had and also answered all of my questions in terms of timescales and when I should expect to see things reflected in my bill. He was excellent too and really made me confident in Sky as a provider.    I just needed to shout them out as star customer service reps who really made me feel like a Gold Star VIP customer. Apologies, I didn't get his name. But I'm having an issue with my ONT for the new broadband. I phoned today (29/07/2024) at 11:08. The person on the phone was so helpful and sorted out the engineer visit while on the phone when I thought this was going to be a long painful process of trying to fix the issue.   He was patient and friendly and explained everything clearly. I was having some issues with two laptops connecting to broadband after some settings were changed on Sunday. One new laptop wouldnt connect but the other would when I logged in this morning. An operator from the sunday had made an error in not actually booking an engineer call out and then when I rang to chase this, it was advised an engineer wasnt actually coming out and his colleague hung up/ line dropped when putting me through to a different department. I rang back for again (9.48am)  feeling particularly cross and lacking in hope that my issue was going to get solved and that I was going to be fobbed off. As I had rung a few times, I was picked up by a department that apparently deals with people who keep having to ring back. I was really stressed and cross (couldnt get logged into work) and spoke to a Sky colleague who clearly new how to deal with stressed out customers and did his job brilliantly. I wanted to say thank you to him, for being professional and calm while i ranted, but he then put me through to a technical colleague (Alex) at 10.19am ish who sorted my problem and stayed on the line to make sure it was definitely fixed. Alex immediately understood the problem and lifted my mood telling me stories about his dog. Both colleagues were fantastic and credit where it is due. Just like to say thanks to Dan and to SKy for the levels of ownership in getting our Broadband up and running across our house.  Dan turned up, as planned on the 22nd and was both informative, polite and super helpful.  After he left and the 24hour settling down period still hadnt managed to make it all happen, i reached out to him via e-mail and he responded well out of hours and then took personal responsibility to get it fixed.....which it is!!  Credit to Sky for having such quality, knowledgeable engineers, and all credit to Dan for being such a nice, customer facing engineer. I just wanted to formally pass on my feedback and appreciation to our Sky Engineer who installed our new equipment.  She carefully planned the route of wiring and dish location to ensure it looked the very best and avoided having to drill through render and trail wiring along it too. Kye was spending hours trying to help he even called me b ack the following day about the puck and helped me so much. Unfortunatly the internet is very poor here and eventually Sky glass will replace the system which will arrive next week but he was so helpful and pleasant he deserves a pay rise for all his skills helping me and my lack of internet skills. We have had a few issues getting our new fibre installation to our home, mostly due to miscommunication between Openreach and Sky. Shamise has been amazing, going above and beyond to try and help us get installed. Her friendly manner and efforts were very much appreciated and the Openreach engineer installed our broadband/phone/TV today and we are all up and running! Thanks are also due to Leanne who helped confirm our number ported forward OK and helped with diagnostics on our new connection when one room was too far to get the wifi signal. Tommy is one of the Loyalty Team Support Team.  I was on the telephone for over two hours today trying to sort out my Sky TV package, we looked at it together and was able to sort a contract that I was happy with.  I also came away with a very competitive Broadband deal as my main aim was to try to cut my monthly outgoings. I would just like to say thank you to our engineer Gary who visited today. I had to reschedule my appointment when he arrived due to my school run and he kindly went to another job and then came back. We've had signal issues since before Christmas and when he looked into it for us there was an issue with our cabling and dish. Hi, I would like to thank my brilliant engineer Thomas who attended our house today to fit our Sky Q box. We had a dilemma with the setup of our other tv's in our house but Thomas helped explain the problems and he even spoke to my son on the phone for a few minutes to provide the options on what could be done. As two eldery pensioners this was a big help as we didn't really understand the issue. Just wanted to say a huge thank you you Luke the Sky Engineer who visited me on 5th Feb. We had been suffering from a really frustrating broadband issue which had dragged on for weeks. BT Openreach had tried and failed to fix the issue and it was only when Luke came to the house that he really got to the bottom of things. Luke was clearly passionate and skilled and was so open and friendly. He spent time diagnosing the problem and then meticulously worked to fix the problem. I was seriously set on leaving Sky as a customer at the end of my contract (which is now) until I met Luke. Following months of recurring issues with the Sky Broadband and our internal Sky TV coverage via the four miniboxes (which I now understand were mainly Broadband related), we were seriously contemplating moving to a different supplier.  However, in desperation (because I routinely work from home and broadband is essential) we decided to book what could have been the final engineer’s visit from Sky. Occurring on Friday 10th May 2024, Jason from Sky proved to be an absolute star!  He went above and beyond to tackle the ongoing frustrations with our broadband and minibox coverage.  Not only did he handle the technical issues with finesse, but his personable nature and professionalism shone through every step of the way.  He's clearly not just a skilled technician; he's a genuinely nice guy who made us feel reassured about continuing our relationship with Sky spanning some 36 years. I have recently experienced problems with my Q box not connecting and or not retaining my router password.   Despite several attempts to resolve this including an engineer visit to replace the box, it continued.  So today I called again and was connected to Engineer Aziz (in South London,  I don't have his family name).  I was on the call for over an hour but he patiently worked through various steps until the problem was solved.  I'm not technically adept but it seemed to me his level of knowledge was excellent.  Additionally,  he was clear, friendly and very patient (see above, not technically adept comment).  He didn't rush me and talked me through what was required.  When it seems these days that customer service can be somewhat lacking Aziz showed how it should be.  I hope this feedback reaches him.  And that he is valued by Sky, he's a great ambassador of how it should be done. ... My daughter in law and I spoke to Ethan this morning to sort out my Sky package, he was extremely friendly and incredible at his job. He helped us to understand the offers and packages as well as giving us the truth about what was the better priced option. In all honesty, we rang up to cancel everything but he worked his magic and managed to help us to only have the package i needed despite other colleagues of his forcing me into ones I didn't want, need or understand. No due date as yet for the stock to arrive, but her friendly and professional attitude helped to quell the fires of rage, as other providers, including O2 have them in stock for collection over the counter.
