Sky will have told you the date the discount was ending when you took it out. You could compare a previous bill to your latest bill and see where the amounts differ
www.sky.com/bill.
If your discount has ended you will need to contact Sky to try to negotiate a new deal which will require another 18 month minimum term contract. Sky are not obliged to offer you another discount so if you’re offered something acceptable you need to agree to it there and then because if you decide to think about it the offer may no longer be available when you call back.

As a as business Skybwants to attract new customers so a introductory price of £28 is how they do it. When you joined you would have had an offer on your account.

All providers I know of have an introductory cheap offer to attract new customers. At the end of a minimum contractual term you then pay the standard price (unless you're able to agree a new discounted deal) just the same as Sky. No cheating, just you not understanding what you signed up to.

As already noted, all providers have an incentive to join. That rate isn't generally available for renewals.
Any company you move to will do the same... But if you want the cheapest then you have to switch every time.
You are not considered a new customer until you've left for 12/18 months.

Price:
Sky Broadband Superfast: £28.00 per month for 18 months, £35.50 per month thereafter
But that's not all the contract is it? Particularly the bit about how prices can increase.
