Sky Stream Jittery

So today one of my pucks has started displaying a brief jitter every 30 secs to 2 minutes when watching live TV. I've carried out a speedtest on Netflix which is showing 89Mbps. It's on a wired connection. I've rebooted the router and box. I've tried connecting wirelessly. I've tried altering the sound settings as mentioned in other posts. All to no avail. My other 3 boxes are fine (and are all wireless), so I seriously doubt that my internet connection is the issue. My internet connection when testing at the router is upwards of 900Mbps with a 9 ms ping. This is affecting all the channels I've tried this afternoon (Sky F1 UHD, Sky F1 HD, Sky Cricket HD and now Sky Thriller HD). It seems that there have been a lot of issues regrding similar issues recently (some of which having been closed as answered when this clearly isn't the case). Are Sky fobbing us off? I've only had Sky 1 month or so and this is now my 2nd issue, I'm already seriously regretting signing up, as it appears to be a premium price for a less than premiun service.

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

Can you swap with one of the other pucks just to see if the problem follows with the iffy puck. It probably will but it's worth doing as it will then rule out the location as the problem.

I'm just making food. I'll do it after that and report back accordingly.

Thanks, Leon

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

Although I've switched from the Cricket to Sky Arts, and Sky Arts seems fine, so I'm not really sure what's going on.....

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

Can you go into "settings" "system management" and check the build version on each puck. If I remember there were jittery issues reported a  couple of months ago. Can't remember which build it was (I no longer have a puck), but I'm sure somebody here will help.

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

Same issue. Tried all the troubleshooting too. Looks to be a Sky issue which hasn't yet been fixed. Probably a waiting game! Less than impressed as a new customer here - if it persists I shall be leaving!

@Leon46

Notice from your first post, you mention the puck you are having issues with is connected by ethernet.

Your other pucks from what yiu say working are on wifi.

For your Ethernet connected puck, have you turned off wifi in the puck settings, if not it will drop to wifi occasionally and cause intermittent issues.

If you have already done this, we can escalate to the Sky community team to work through the issue with you.

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

I've been having similar issues for the past few weeks. Seems to be doing it on most channels. Doesn't matter if it's sport or a movie. Just momentarily pauses. WiFi connection is excellent and good speed shown on Netflix. I've also restarted hub and puck with no improvement

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

Same here! It's appearing every 90 seconds or so.

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

I'm pretty sure it was off yesterday. Currently watching House of the Dragon, so I'll make sure it's off tomorrow and report back.

Thanks

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

I've switched my picture settings to 1080p HD to see if that improves. House of dragons was jumping around earlier today as was From. Doesn't seem to care which channel or program I watch I get the issue

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

Hi,

The wifi is off. I've just watched House of the Dragon on demand. It wasn't too bad but was still present. The jitters were several minutes apart and only minor. I've just put BBC 1 on for the football, and it's pretty horrendous. Every minute or so and a much more substantial jitter. Sky need to sort this out, I won't be paying the best part of £2.5k for this rubbish for the next 2 years.

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

Similar issue here too on my puck. Only seems to be with live tv, apps run fine. Currently watching World Cup on bbc IPlayer in uhd with no glitches.

i have 89mbps speed check on Netflix. Hard wired Ethernet connection.
done all the resets/reboots after reaching out to Sky and got nowhere fast.

sky clearly have a big issue here that they need to sort fast.
