Re: Sky Stream Jittery

@Leon46

Notice from your first post, you mention the puck you are having issues with is connected by ethernet.

Your other pucks from what yiu say working are on wifi.

For your Ethernet connected puck, have you turned off wifi in the puck settings, if not it will drop to wifi occasionally and cause intermittent issues.

If you have already done this, we can escalate to the Sky community team to work through the issue with you.

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

I've been having similar issues for the past few weeks. Seems to be doing it on most channels. Doesn't matter if it's sport or a movie. Just momentarily pauses. WiFi connection is excellent and good speed shown on Netflix. I've also restarted hub and puck with no improvement

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

Same here! It's appearing every 90 seconds or so.

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

I'm pretty sure it was off yesterday. Currently watching House of the Dragon, so I'll make sure it's off tomorrow and report back.

Thanks

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

I've switched my picture settings to 1080p HD to see if that improves. House of dragons was jumping around earlier today as was From. Doesn't seem to care which channel or program I watch I get the issue

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

I am having the same issue. I have tried rebooting puck and router - no improvement. Stutter/freeze happening on 'live' TV and every app. Have starting using Firestick for Prime, Netflix, iPlayer etc and no issues whatsoever. TV has Freeview fortunately so can use it for live TV. Don't really see the, point in the puck tbh if it's this unreliable.

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

Hi,

The wifi is off. I've just watched House of the Dragon on demand. It wasn't too bad but was still present. The jitters were several minutes apart and only minor. I've just put BBC 1 on for the football, and it's pretty horrendous. Every minute or so and a much more substantial jitter. Sky need to sort this out, I won't be paying the best part of £2.5k for this rubbish for the next 2 years.

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

My streaming apps are fine. It's just affecting live television channels. Initially it was only BBC and ITV but it has started spreading to the Sky channels now.

I did try starting a web chat with a Sky representative it they failed to get back to me.

I imagine that if I were to call Sky they would just tell me to do everything I've already done, like restart the puck and the router. I have 500meg down so that should be more than plenty.

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

Exactly the same issue here too.

90mbps in Netflix speed check.

posted on here last week about glitching every 10 - 15 seconds, especially awful during World Cup games. Funnily only became noticeable since World Cup started. Tried all the reboots. All apps for me are fine so have been watching games on them which is a bit of a joke really considering we're all paying for the tv service.
if anyone finds a fix or Sky manages to help resolve it please post in here so we can all move on with our lives!

Re: Sky Stream Jittery

Similar issue here too on my puck. Only seems to be with live tv, apps run fine. Currently watching World Cup on bbc IPlayer in uhd with no glitches.

i have 89mbps speed check on Netflix. Hard wired Ethernet connection.
done all the resets/reboots after reaching out to Sky and got nowhere fast.

sky clearly have a big issue here that they need to sort fast.

Exactly the same here. Started in the last week.

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

No acknowledgment of an issue. I have been messaging for days for a solution.

Nothing has worked.

I sent some pics of the set up a few days ago had some empty boxes and vase in between router and pick.

Got asked last night to remove them so I did, no change.

Today, I have been asked for a picture to prove it. Unbelievable, I did notice that request had no name left at the end of it.

Sky, it's clear we are all having the same issue. It's not our set up or our broadband connection.

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

How on earth would a vase cause the picture to stutter?

My puck is connected via Ethernet, so it is not a WiFi issue. It is a problem at Sky's end.

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops

Same with my issues. Apps all work fine it's just the live channels with the micro stutter.
