Re: Sky Stream Jittery
I'm just making food. I'll do it after that and report back accordingly.

Re: Sky Stream Jittery
Hi, I've tried this, and the issue remains with the original puck
Thanks, Leon

Sky Sports UHD stutter - not fixed
There was a huge 155 page thread on this issue that was locked recently because @KevNewMedia stated it was fixed.
Except, following that announcement and before the thread was locked, users were reporting the issue remained.
The issue is still there for me. Watching the cricket in UHD on 401 this week, a brief stutter is still apparent every 10 seconds or so. It completely ruins the viewing experience.
I am running the last version of the software on my puck - QS040.029.00P.
I have ultra fast Sky broadband and refuse to accept that my internet connection is the issue.
Why has the conversation on this topic been shut down when the problem remains? It's infuriating.

Re: Sky Stream Jittery
Although I've switched from the Cricket to Sky Arts, and Sky Arts seems fine, so I'm not really sure what's going on.....

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops
Having the same issue and am a new Sky customer lol. Have went from Ethernet to WiFi and noticed a slight difference for the better. So it definitely sounds like a Sky issue then?

Re: Sky Stream Jittery
Can you go into "settings" "system management" and check the build version on each puck. If I remember there were jittery issues reported a couple of months ago. Can't remember which build it was (I no longer have a puck), but I'm sure somebody here will help.

Re: Sky Stream Jittery
Same issue. Tried all the troubleshooting too. Looks to be a Sky issue which hasn't yet been fixed. Probably a waiting game! Less than impressed as a new customer here - if it persists I shall be leaving!

Re: Sky stream - picture stuttering/frame drops
I'm having the same problem, the picture stutters for a split second, although I think the sound is unaffected.
I've resorted to watching the football via Freesat (using my old Sky dish) which is picture perfect.

Also getting this issue on live tv and on demand programmes. Not sure if I've got it in me to make another complaint for them to try and blame my broadband or go through the restart nonsense.
Sky are a disgrace, pushing subpar products and charging a premium price regardless.

Re: Sky Sports UHD stutter - not fixed
@timmytapper even before Sky's post, that thread had become much less vocal, with the regulars having largely gone away. That might serve as an indication that the fault had indeed been fixed. I'd suggest giving Sky a call.

Re: Sky Sports UHD stutter - not fixed
I suspect that has a lot to do with the Premier League season finishing. Given there were multiple users still reporting the issue after the fix was announced, and I am still experiencing it myself, it clearly isn't fixed.
I will give Sky a call but I hope they don't consider the issue resolved and I think it's important that it is reported here for the benefit of others who might still be seeing it - I also don't agree with the thread being locked while users were continuing to report the concern.

Has Sky acknowledged there is an issue or even looking at it? Literally awful watching live tv.
If they do not think there is a problem, is ther a fix? Checking the app it says everthing looks good and I have fttp to the house with 300mb

Not that I am aware of.
Does anyone at Sky actually look at these forums?

Checking the app and the fact you have fttp means nothing. What's important is the actual speed reaching the puck.
To check what this is, open the Netflix app, navigate to the get help menu and run a network check.
This is the only way to find out what speed the puck actually has to work with. It needs to be as fast, constant and stable as possible. Free from interference and speed fluctuation so run the test a few times and see if it changes much.
Sky recommend a minimum of 25Mbps for HD streaming and 30Mbps for UHD streaming, but ideally you need a lot more, particularly if you have other devices in your household using bandwidth.
