The app asks you to log in with your username and password. After I do this, and tap 'continue', nothing else happens, just the little buffering symbol forever spinning. I am using an iPad.

Have you tried deleting the app, rebooting your iPad and try again ?

Yes have done all the usual stuff, no joy, but looking at other post there seems to me an issue that sky is trying to resolve.

To Everyone please note:  The MySky app does not work on an iPad.  Sky are working on a fix. If you like wasting your time, then keep trying different solutions but NONE will work.  Wait for Sky to fix an app that they have successfully broke.

Have you tried opening it on both a Wi-Fi and mobile data connection ?

Caesarome.  You keep providing ipad advice, so your ipad must be working.  So please which ipad do you have, what is its operating system and which Mysky app version do you have please.

Ipad 10th Generation is what I have, it is running 18.6.2 and the MySky app is running 10.4.2.

Thank you for your patience while this issue continues to be investigated.


The support team hasn’t been able to replicate the problem, so they’ve asked for some additional details to help with their investigation:

 

  • iPad model number
  • iPadOS version
  • My Sky app version
  • Date and time the problem started

Please reply to this discussion with the above information.

I have no explantion for what appears to be your good fortune.  I have an email from SKy technical that says there is a problem with the Mysky app on all ipads. Reading previous posts here others have 18:6.2 with the 10.4.2 app and it does not work. I have 18.6.2 on my iphone which works but not on either of my  ipads. Apple have spent 4 hours over 2 days trying to resolve, this involved things such as total removal of all security including VPN etc. and nothing works. I have been assured by them that the problem is one of the latest Sky apps not the ipads.  So I remain baffled.

My iPad is 7th Gen 
ipad os version 18.7.2

my sky app version 10.4.2

problem started approx 1st November in morning don't have exact time
