Lets be clear, it is definitely not an Apple problem and never has been. The only reason to contact Apple was to ensure that as all our operating systems are different, they would check to ensure that an individual had not set it up so that it interfered with the MySky app. We now know from Mosesquest that the MySky app does not work even on ipads that have latest ios operating system.

A25 informed us that Sky technical had advised to delete the existing app and wait for the next MySky update.  I repeat, this is excellent advice because it’s obvious that the problem is the MySky app. Don’t waste your time trying to solve this issue, SKY are working on a solution, but they won’t tell you that unless you complain loud and often.

In the meantime, I’ll mark this post as the answer and share updates where possible.

 

While this is being investigated, it's worth checking your device is running iPadOS 15.4 or later and that you have the latest version of the My Sky app installed.

 

You might also want to share the problems you're experiencing by sending an email to apps@sky.uk.

Samraj, this problem has been raised to SKY support by countless people who have the identical problem on their ipads irrespective of which ios operating system they have.  The problem has been escalated way beyond apps@sky.uk and contacting them is a waste of time.  If an employee wants to make a difference then get Sky technical to immediately tell customers when they contact, that the MySky app is the problem and it is being investigated.  This will save customers hours of trying Sky support fixes that DO NOT WORK.

I sent an email to apps@sky.uk including all the details of the issue and what I had tried to do to resolve. I have received a pathetic response "Since the app is working on your Android phone, it seems the issue is specific to your iPad." . It the goes on to say for me to try all the "fix's' that I had said I had already done. So a standard proforma response. No communication between Sky department, looks like a email sent to meet a response target ( send email with any old rubbish to meet a target response time)

I have the same problem and Sky Advisor suggested that I delete MySky app and reinstall which did not resolve blank screen buffering problem.  I think Sky should advise customers that this is a known problem with their app rather than wasting time advising users to carry out ineffective actions.

As per my post yesterday anyone who contacts the email address posted by Samraj is wasting ther time as is now being discovered. I also note that the Sandraj post has been declared the answer. That is not right as is also now being discovered.  The Sky technical and customer services departments require re-training before they drive us all mad!

Mysky app hanging and does not work

Mysky app has not been working for 2 weeks on iPad.  iPad software up to date, have deleted app and reinstalled, still hangs. Seems to have just started since I got sky fibre 100

Me too, but from previous comments the fault lies with the Sky app not being compatible with the latest version of iPad update. There is no problem with any of my other apps. I am on BT Full fibre, so I don't think that Sky fibre 100 is causing the problem.
