To establish your iOS system for your phone, go into settings, then general, then about.  In about you will find the operating system.  If it's 18 or above it will work if it's 17.7.10 or below it should not work but if it does I will be baffled.

The latest MySky app does not work on Apple devices with an iOS of 17:7:10 or older and Sky are looking for a solution.  However, as your device is iOS 18 then this should work suggesting that something within your operating system requires adjustment.

you state that you have no VPN or other external security apps and all basic troubleshooting techniques such as disconnecting your router and deleting the MySky app etc. have been tried and failed.  I recommend that you contact Apple technical [Removed] rather than Sky technical.  You will find them helpful and if all else fails they will connect to your iPad and solve the issue.  Even if your device was not purchased from Apple they should provide free of charge help as it is their device which appears to be causing the problem.

I had that error myself this morning. I fixed it by logging out then back in again, it did show the error message again after doing this but I think selected the try again button and all was well with it once more.

You claim that you have tried all the fixes to this problem and you have deleted the MySky app and loaded the latest version 10.4.2 from the Apple App Store.  Therefore as this app works on iOS 18.7.2 then please contact Apple.  iOS 18.7.2 was only released 5th November 2025 so Apple will be pleased to assist.

We all have different iPad models with different iOS operating systems, iPads with iOS 18.7.2 work differently to iPhones with 18.7.2. Therefore if you do not wish to contact Apple technical to establish how your iPad stands then I suggest you follow the advice of A25 who responded on the 2nd November as this is an excellent post.

My iPad has the latest software, the app is the latest version and the only difference is that the spinning wheel has been replaced with "sorry we're having technical difficulties " ! Been saying that for a few days

I am on the latest iPadOS, and the latest version of MySky.

 

I've done everything Apple suggest for apps that don't work, closed it, reopened it, rebooted the iPad, uninstalled, rebooted again, reinstalled, logged back in and  it's the spinning wheel every time.

 

Sky's advice is that the current version of MySky doesn't work on the current iPadOS, which suggests it's an app developer problem rather than a hardware or operating system issue.

 

It worked fine until iPadOS 18.7 was launched, and it's not worked on anything since that version, not 18.7.1, nor 18.7.2, nor iPadOS 26.

 

Using an VPN never affected it, I've used it over VPN on numerous occasions, so I think that's just a red herring.

App works on iPhone but will not on iPad.

It continues to buffer. I have logo at top and icons along the bottom. Continually buffers.

I have rebooted iPad.
I have deleted and reinstalled app.
I have removed Microsoft defender app in case VPN was problem


Any help please?

@Derekroylee  - same problem everyone seems to have I've given up & just use my sky through internet rather than app

- easy to blame Apple but I think it's app problem as my app worked fine then stopped working before any updates on Apple

& every other app works fine
