Re: Changes to the Sky TV guide - July 2023

Maybe we could have an update from Sky on what day these updates will be issued.

I do have to say it's just very useful to have the updates. Am not here to criticise, it's just useful to have it on a Friday for the week ahead. This was being done in the past. I am sure there is a member of staff can do it.

anyway I will wait to hear from someone from Sky to comment and who knows what is happening

And if they don't stick to that day we can look forwards to more posts about not being updated when you expected them to,  not going to happen, the thread states weekly and weekly it is.  Simple.

So I'll take that as  a NO then

Weekly is a target not a promise or a contract!

@Super+Anthony

I really don't understand why you are so obsessed with Sky's occasionally change of channel names/numbers ?? I personally pay little attention to them unless its a change of number of something like bbc1 which I use frequently.

Not only are you obsessed with Sky's occasionally change of channel names/numbers but your obsessed with it being posted on a Friday !

Its a pretty strange obsession you have...

Where are the Wimbledon channels? I was expecting 5 or 6 to turn up near channel 970 as usual but nothing has appeared. Are we not getting them this year?

Only 1 Red Button channel that's always broadcasting will show Wimbledon, the rest on BBC iPlayer or via the Red Button on BBC channels.

"Viewers will be able to watch every [Wimbledon] match on the BBC iPlayer. Viewers with connected TVs and receivers, like Sky Q and Freeview Play will be able to press red to access all the available iPlayer streams from Wimbledon.

The traditional red button service will carry a Wimbledon Extra channel for additional coverage. This will also be available through the iPlayer. However, on cable and satellite, there will not be additional red button feeds. All additional feeds will be iPlayer only."

I'm a bit late to the party but only reading through this thread now...

This list is updated weekly for the week ahead but may still change.

For reference, the team and I will update these threads when we can, this could be on a Thursday or Friday, or even a Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday 😉
