Re: Changes to the Sky TV guide - July 2023

@Chloe-W22  @Kirsty+S27 There are updates needed to the Sky Glass channel listing linked in this post.  Here are those I’ve spotted for the UK list. The Irish list is more accurate although I think all six of the UKTV channels in the entertainment genre show the wrong channel numbers.   Can you get someone to review and update, please?

 Under Sky Ultimate TV

  • BBC One National and BBC One Regional – all channel numbers are the old satellite numbers but they should align on Glass and satellite i.e. starting with London not Scotland.  Also the BBC Two nations need to be added
  • Under RTÉ (Northern Ireland only) heading, RTÉ Junior - 964 should read 213
  • Under News, add TalkTV - 508
  • Under News Sky Arabia - 716 - isn't this now on 750?
  • Under Other, delete Smithsonian – 167
  • Under Kids, CiTV - 211 should read CITV – 212 and RTÉ Junior - 212 (Northern Ireland only) - should read 213
  • Under international isn’t Sky Arabia now 750?  Also add PTC Punjabi - 740
  • Shopping - delete “HD” from QVC channels as you’ve not shown that for other channels

Under BT Sports add:

  • 3006 BT Sport 5
  • 3007 BT Sport 6
  • 3008 BT Sport 7
  • 3009 BT Sport 8
  • 3010 BT Sport 9
  • 3011 BT Sport 10

 Under Sky Sports add:

  • 901 SkySpME
  • 902 SkySpF1
  • 903 Sky Sports UHD (UHD1)
  • 904 Sky Sports UHD
  • Under PPV add 3052 after Sky Sports Pay Per View

  • Also 906 Eurosport 4K/Ultra UHD2 needs to be added somewhere

Channels not on Sky Glass list

Add

  • Earthx TV
  • India Today
  • DAZN 1
  • DAZN PPV
  • Islam Bangla
  • Panjab Broadcasting Channel
  • QTV Religious
  • Samaa TV

Amend

  • NOW 90s > NOW ROCK
  • That's TV Gold > That's TV
  • FreeSports > ViaplayXtra
  • Sportstuff > Sportystuff
  • NHZ World > NHK World
  • Drop the ‘HD’ from description of selected news, religion and shopping channels

Delete (as either launched on Glass/Stream or no longer available on satellite)

  • Arise Play
  • Forces TV
  • Spotlight TV
  • Vox Africa
  • Trace Hits
  • BoxNation
  • LaLiga TV
  • ROK
  • AITV
  • Neo News
  • Iran International HD
  • Good News TV
  • Thane
  • PTC Punjabi
  • Studio 66 3 TV
  • XXX Mums

Re: Changes to the Sky TV guide - July 2023

Wait a minute, we're already in the month of July, yet there's STILL no information regarding what will happen to the EPG slot for BBC Three in Scotland. Y'all need to hurry up as quickly as possible before it starts becoming a problem in just under a month's time!

Re: Changes to the Sky TV guide - July 2023

Where are the Wimbledon channels? I was expecting 5 or 6 to turn up near channel 970 as usual but nothing has appeared. Are we not getting them this year?

After two decades, the BBC will no longer provide extra Wimbledon Red Button feeds via satellite. Bonus coverage will be available via the iPlayer instead.

Traditionally, the BBC offered up to six temporary pop-up channels for the summer, offering extra coverage from the grass courts of SW19. Prior to the pandemic, these channels also offered coverage from Glastonbury.

The online shift means that satellite viewers using older receivers will find they can’t access the same range of extra Wimbledon feeds as before. On newer receivers, the extra coverage will be delivered via the internet.

This year, the BBC will carry a single, live ‘Wimbledon Extra’ channel on the Red Button, plus iPlayer, website and app. Every match will now be available to watch on iPlayer.

Re: Changes to the Sky TV guide - July 2023

Just had a good nose around and found a press release from 3 weeks ago, red button service will only have one channel this year. Yet more BBC cost cutting I suppose, very disappointing.

Funny how they can't afford two weeks of extra coverage or to run a decent news channel, but they can pay presenters millions when there are people on YouTube who do a better job for free.

Re: Changes to the Sky TV guide - July 2023

If you use acronyms, can you spell it out fully? I didn't know what BTTF was. (It's Back to the Future).
I originaly thought it was BT The Finish as BT Sport is closing soon.
