and sky changing this
So can we take you back to the post marked as the answer… Paramount have decided on this change.

When I renewed Sky Movies, part of the reason was to get Paramount+
Since last month, something has changed, and Paramount+ is bombarded with excessively frequent ad breaks. I now no longer watch Paramount+ and unlikely to renew my Sky Movies subscription.
Am I missing something? How can Sky make such a change during my contract period?

@Adam-dB Sky hasn't made the change, Paramount decided to move to a tiered subscription model. These types of changes are out od Sky's control and are covered in the terms and conditions of the contract.

Why are Paramount blaming Sky for the change in replies to complaints? And if Sky honestly had nothing to do with it and it's all Paramount's decision, why not say that in the article about the changes? It would take the heat off Sky and reduce the complaints.

@xenon81 it's the classic blame game, neither side will want to take responsibility publicly so blame each other when dealing with complaints
doesn't necessarily mean paramout are being fully truthful in their response

Why are users (especially Superusers) defending Sky.
yes Paramount have changed the subscription but Sky have chosen to put everyone on the Basic
package when they could just as easily put us on the standard package (without ads) and maintained the previous service. Very deceptive I think.

Paramount can insist it's the basic with ads included with Sky Cinema, they get more advertising revenue this way.

<snip>
Not defending, just point people in the right direction to who to complain to

Presumably that's a financial decision: they are in business to make money.

You're missing the obvious. What makes you think Sky had any choice in the matter?

Like so many Businesses in the U.K. it is looking in the short term. In the long term they are likely to lose many Sky Cinema customers.

Sky Group hasn't been a British-owned company since 2018.

I had a feeling someone would pick me up on this.
do you not think Sky use British management then ?
