Sky's software rollout process is a total disaster. That's all.

Hi that's the same firmware version as mine which I assumed was the latest version as I don't know when the previous build version was put on, I believe this was updated automatically and appeared to resolve the freezing issue.

This has been happening frequently ever since we changed to Sky, as well as the flickering green bar at the top of the screen during adverts. Beginning to regret moving from Virgin Media

I feel exactly the same way. I moved from virgin to sky about 12 months ago and although the price was much better there is no comparison with virgin stability. As soon as my 18 month contract is up I'm going back.

I am glad to see that the update seems to resolve the problem. The latest update finishes rolling out today. Please keep monitoring the issue and keep me updated!
Thanks,

It is now February 25th and I still have 6 pucks on QS024.
Surely we should be able to rely on posts from Sky employees? Or at least they should follow up their posts with a correction?

That will likely be because the update is still rolling out i'd have thought. I could be wrong but based on previous rollouts i'd suggest it would finish at some point this week.

It is obviously still rolling out. My observation related to the inaccurate (or maybe badly worded) post from a Sky employee.

This problem has not been resolved as when watching challenge 159 box still freezes up with green pixelated banner then total freeze
box has not been updated and no way to force update

See if rebooting your puck by unplugging it for for a couple of minutes helps. It's always worth doing this to ensure the latest software update has fully installed.

message it looks like he has tge latest software for sky stream pucks it's just strange as it's solved tge fault for some but not for others I would be inclined to do a full factory reset by powering down removing the power cable and holding the reset button whilst powering up and wait for all the lights to flash and see if it helps

I'd strongly suggest NOT doing a factory reset unless advised by someone from Sky.
These can go wrong and cause you more problems which can only be fixed by calling Sky. The general recommendation from Sky is that customers don't just do factory resets.

I agree everyone has their own opinions on trying to resolve issues it has been mentioned many times on this forum on procedure for resetting sky pucks including by Sky employees I've not seen or herd of any issues thus far for me I'll do whatever it takes but every should satisfy themselves if in doubt before doing so
