A Community staff member may update this thread when it's confirmed it has been fixed. If we get a notification it's been fixed on a hidden board that SuperUsers have access to I'll update this thread.

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

Same problem here, started 2/3 days ago, constant rebooting.

Handy to know it's just those channels.

Like everyone else don't want to lose recordings, and if it's a Sky software issue, a new box wouldn't help.

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

I concur but can anyone inform me how i get Sky to stop the delivery of my replacement Sky q box until the issue has been solved as i may not require the new box. Help please

That's a decision for you only. You would either need to contact Sky to try to stop it or if the delivery takes place refuse it at the doorstep.

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

I experienced this issue on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. I kicked off a software update Saturday afternoon and I've not had the issue since. Might be worth a try.

Settings - System info - software version - setup - software download.

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

Thanks, just kicked off the software download.

Hopefully when finished, all will be sorted 🙏

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

I had same issue after software download. Hope its different for you but if its an outage problem as they just told me on the phone then its unlikely to fix it.

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

A software update on Sky Q just downloads and reinstalls the current software so is unlikely to fix a problem like this which seems to be related to corrupt adverts being inserted by the Adsmart system.

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

Ditto Adverts still anissue on Sky Sports news . I trided and had to go through the proceedure of unplugging and resettin gThis is aSky issue and hopefully they will resolve it shortly, although I don't know how we be informed. Day 4 now. Surely it should be solved by now

Re: SkyQ Blue Screen

Same issue as everyone here has mentioned, over the last few days a random light blue screen (where the menu and everything still works but you can't view any channels) occurs.  I've tried pushing a software update, reconnecting hdmi/tv connectors and cables, checking the signal strength and other things etc. and ultimately fully turning off the main box and returning it back on... is the only way to resolve the lockup.  Read about someone recommending opting out of tailered tv adverts due to the corruption issue with cached "sky adsmart", so just done that to see if it it stops it.

Hopefully doing the above fixes it for me, just need to wait for the option changes to kick in and hope it works around the bug.

Sky q box freezes the blue screen

7 times in the last 3 days we have rebooted, updated tried everything we have seen written about this problem but still it persists. Watch main box for a couple of hours the screen freezes then blue screen. No effect on my mini box but any hope of recording a programme is out of the window at the moment. Please help.
