@JudeT I know you said you turned everything off but did you reset the router by poressing the small button on the back of it

I'm having the same issue.  We have Virgin Broadband and there's no issue with, as all other devices remain connected and wifi checker remains around 200Mbs.

 

Generally, I just need to Reset on Sky Q Settings and it sorts itself out, but very frustrating..!! 

 

Sky Q box is only a few months old...

Same here. New sky q box but still happening. Thinking of cancelling my contract cos I'm paying for stuff I can't use

I've tried switching it off and resetting but that has not solved the issue

what else can I try? Is there a number I can ring?

So after going through the process of getting go fibre back out (and there were issues there and router replaced) the issue was not resolved. Long story short ended up with sky engineer out and we have 2 sky routers and a go fibre router all connected. It took him ages to sort it out and figure out what to do but it was never going to be something we'd have figured out ourselves. So far so good though everything has stayed connected!

My sky Q box won't connect to the internet, even though I have hard wired it to the sky router. I have turned everything off and when reconnecting it, I have pressed and held the wps button and the message said it could not find the internet.

Hello.
Having similar issues but discovered something quite strange.

I recently bought a Samsung soundbar and connected it to my SkyQ box and Samsung TV via eARC.

What I’ve noticed is that as soon as the soundbar is connected to the system the internet connection is dropped on the SkyQ box. It won't connect via WiFi or via network cable !

If I remove the soundbar and try again, the internet works fine on the Sky box.

Any ideas?

Having the same issue since Apr 2024. 

 

I have a superb internet and wifi and know  its not my internet at fault, logs prove that .  I work in IT and have no issues with networks. 

 

This is a SKY issue and has worked for years up until this period . 

 

Reading the posts above  it seems to me something has changed at their end  since April.

 

SKY box says  its connected to internet , and all Apps fails say its not connected to internet . 

- a few times I have turned things off and reset but this is rubbish .

Mines doing exactly the same since last update , how do I change the firewall settings in router ?
