Hi all , I'm getting a 1tb hd sky Q box soon , I've seen pics online of sky Q boxes and noticed some have a HDMI input on the back , do they still have this ?

No they have not been on any of the later boxes.
Also I think that those that did have them did not actually use them and were listed as 'for future use'

You should have been told on the call
you will at least get a 1tb basic box
however you may have been given a 2tb uhd box
allowing that double storage and uhd
Sky q is great for everything really no matter what box you get
youll find it a lot better than sky+ @edgie700

Hi @edgie700
Normally the 1TB UHD is the standard box now.
However some people have taken a low cost deal to upgrade and have the 1 TB non UHD box.

Thank you for your replies , the agent told me I was getting a 1tb non uhd box because I hadn't took out a uhd subscription, I'm not bothered about 4k as I'm happy with HD , I just didn't want him giving me the cheaper box when the normal thing to do is get the 1tb uhd box

no aslong as your not bothered about 4k the 1tb box is perfect
like i said
bit of a difference from sky+

Thanks , I hope it's a bit more " modern " than the ageing sky + lol

Hi all , currently have sky+hd , just ordered Sky Q HD ( not 4k ) do I need a new LNB ?? The agent hasn't mentioned anything about this , he just ordered a box and said it's easy to install for myself.....

My LNB was replaced when I did the upgrade from the same box. Installer told me it had to be replaced to upgrade to the Q boxes.

You will need an engineer visit to swap from Sky+HD to Sky Q. It's not a simple self-install.
