Sky Q - Shared Dish
14 Jul 2021 11:22 AM
Hey,
I currently have FreeSat at my house. I'm thinking of getting Sky Q. I share the dish with my nextdoor neighbour, they recently had Sky Q installed and Sky changed the dish & the LNB. They reconnected mine up and worked as normal.
Reading online it doesn't seem like you can connect another Sky Q box to the same dish. I was wondering what would Sky usually do in this scenario? Its not possible to install a Sky Dish on my property due to tree's. Kindly our neighbours allowed us to have a feed from their dish.
I've attached a picture to make it clearer. One feed goes to our property (via the gutter) the other to theirs.
I'm wondering if
1) is it possible to have 2 Sky Q boxes from a single dish as is?
2) If not, will/would sky install another dish on that pole if needed (even though its not my property; with permission)?
