Hi,
I've been trying to upgrade to the standard package of Paramount+ using the my sky page, but when I can't get past the payment page as an error page comes up saying "We'll be back soon. Something has gone wrong, but we're working on this. Please Try again later. MYSKY_2306."
I have tried ringing sky but they barely understood what I was talking about, let alone actually help. Am I missing something? I can't work out why this is happening. I even tried using a different bank card.
Thanks!

I have been having this issue too and finally found a solution. It always failed after entering a new payment method, so the steps that worked for me were:
- Log onto the MySky app, and go to the Bills and Payments section
- In the marketplace area, choose change payment method
- Enter a new card here
- Once this was done, head back to Sky Q and try the upgrade as before
- Instead of asking for a payment card, I just had to enter my security code and the upgrade went through
Hopefully this solves it for the rest of you too!

Hi @janecurran
Assume you do not have Sky Cinema .
Regardless with or without Sky Cinema you should be able to subscribe using the following link

Re: Paramount+ upgrade
Hi,
sorry, yes should have included that I do have sky cinema, which is why I have the basic subscription, but can't deal with the ads so want to upgrade to the standard subscription.

Ahh OK @janecurran
Are you trying this in the Q box Home Menu in My Sky or the My Sky website?

Re: Paramount+ upgrade
I also have the same issue, and can see no other way of upgrading from the free basic subscription.
I also wonder why it asks for credit card details, assumed this woukd
juat be added onto my sky bill and not require a separate payment to be setup?

Re: Paramount+ upgrade
I ended up calling back today and spoke to about 4 different people. Eventually I was told by the app department the only option was to cancel sky cinema for 24 hours so my paramount plus account unlinked to sky, but only realised when the cancellations advisor started going through terms and conditions that I was about to be locked into another 12 month contract, so if you do go that route, be careful. I've ended up cancelling cinema all together, and luckily because I wasn't told it was a new contract, I didn't have to pay the downgrade premium in the end, which was a possibility for a bit of the call.
Apparently they have no way to upgrade our accounts on their system. I was told that their partnership with paramount is different to their one with netflix. For netflix they have access to the netflix system, whereas they don't have any access to paramount plus. Paramount plus say that any subscription as part of a sky partnership has to be sorted through sky, so they can't help either.
Its been logged as an issue, but they all said that their system doesn't show this as a common problem, so it might be helpful to ring just so they have multiple accounts of this issue, but basically don't expect them to be able to do anything about it.

You absolutely can upgrade the Paramount+ subscription from the free Basic Tier to the Standard or Premium Tiers , as per this link.

Re: Paramount+ upgrade
I have followed all the steps shown here but keep getting an error - maybe its an issue on Sky's end with the upgrade system.

Re: Paramount+ upgrade
This is exactly what I see, it does appear to be quite common.
I'm already in contract for Sky Cinema having recently renegotiated my package so cancelling and adding it again would be an expensive work around, I probably would be better cancelling paramount add on and paying the full price.

Re: Paramount+ upgrade
I have the same issue. I have a sky Cinema Subscription for what its worth (hardly watch it to be fair - defo watch more Paramount +) but getting fed up with only HD and the constant adverts on the basic package.
I am glad I am not the only one havinmg this issue thought it was just me - Come on Sky sort it out - Dont publish a process that does not work.!!!!!!
I thought I would just upgrade to the premium to get my UHD for £6 as that sort of saves £4.99 being on Sky Cinema.
Now thinking of cancelling Sky Cinema all together and paying the £10.99 for P+, but the big question is would I be able to get it on my Sky Glass? Has anyone done that sucessfully?

Re: Paramount+ upgrade
Well, there is a Sky Glass P+ app, so why wouldn't you?
of course, there is also a P+ upgrade process on Sky which doesn't seem to work so maybe I'm expecting too much.
I've escalated @janecurran 's original request

Re: Paramount+ upgrade
I've the same issue.
If you do a search on this forum, this error message has been reported here for over two years for a few people on both Paramount+ and Discovery+. It can't be too common as there are only a few reports, or perhaps few people upgrade.
Given people are seeing it on both Stream and Q it would appear to be nothing to do with the boxes, but Sky's backend systems.

I don't think that upgrade process has been around two years has it?
