Trying to watch Now 70's on my Sky Q box , but there's a message on my tv saying 'this channel is currently affected by a problem with your satellite signal' for help press '? ' when I press ? There's option's about weather/trees/building work. It also says is it just 1 channel? Check other channels see if iys a satellite issue? If its only 1 channel, it's a broadcaster issue, so try again later. Now 80's isn't there either. I've been trying since Thursday. Just wondering if channel's moved again or gone altogether? TIA

@country.girl wrote:Thanks, yes I know NOW 70's was taken off 'normal' tv, then you could re-tune the box + watch it thru Manual tuning. this is where i was watching it previously.,
We're finally getting there! In that case you just need to re-add it as some of the technical details have changed recently.
The new details are:
Frequency: 11.081
Polarisation: H
Symbol Rate: 23.0
FEC:2/3
Standard: DVB-S2
Modulation: 8PSK

Now 70s and 80s are both working here. It sounds like your dish may be slightly out of alignment as that can cause you to lose channels (often just a few). Other channels broadcast on the same frequency include Blaze (164) and Rewind TV (190), are they working?

A message displaying “no satellite signal” relates to your Sky Q box, so firstly check that the connections from the Sky dish going into the back of your Sky Q box are still finger tight. Also check the troubleshooting in this link
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-tv-no-satellite-signal-sky-q
It may then give you the opportunity to arrange an engineer to check the alignment of your dish. If it doesn’t you’ll need to contact Sky to book an engineer appointment.
If you are connected to a communal dish you need to liaise with you building management company / landlord who will have their approved engineers to contact.
Note: A misalignment is not necessarily something that will be visible to the naked eye and could only affect one or two channels.

That's just an channel number change. It won't be responsible for a "no satellite signal" message.

Sure, assuming OP is selecting the right channel numbers... (seems like could be alignment issues)

There is nothing on the previous numbers so entering them would result in a channel unavailable message rather than no satellite signal.

Thank you for your reply.
Blaze is OK.
Rewind 190 isn't on my channel list.

Good afternoon
Thanks for replying to my question. Yes I saw the list when searching for n answer, but in the list NOW 70s moves from 361 to 355 on satellite only, but i dont have either channels on my tv list, when NOW 70 moved from normal TV I'd to tune my tv in to receive the channel, but there's no 'number' for me to re-tune my Sky box.

I searched for NOW 70's and on the Sky page, it says that NOW 70's has moved from 355 to 361. but the channel's not been on 'normal TV for a while, since it got taken off due to a licence fee? then I searched again + found the frequency that NOW 70's had moved to, so I tuned my TV into the frequency given, but it's saying there are no channels on that frequency.
I'm desperate to get NOW 70's back, cause when I'm cleaning I listen to that channel!! 🙂

Are you in the UK or Ireland? When was Now 70s last working? It's particularly odd that you can get Blaze but other channels on the same transponder aren't working, or are missing.
