Plug your aerial from your roof into your TV and tune it...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own

Or, if you don't have an aerial on your roof, a small indoor desktop aerial can often be sufficient to receive a Freeview signal, providing you are close enough to your local transmitter.

Argos and Amazon have plenty of inexpensive ones.

Alternatively, if you have a smart TV with on-board apps which is connected to your broadband, you can stream live and on demand TV on iPlayer, ITVX, Channel 4 and My5 quite easily, without need for any aerial whatsoever, at no additional cost to you. A streaming device such as a Firestick attached to your TV will allow you to do this too.
