Re: Netflix app not working

This happens to me every day. If I do a complete power down of Sky Q box, it works, but then the following day happens again. A significant inconvenience far Sky need to fix.

Re: Netflix often not working on SkyQ

Exactly the same happening with me. 90% of the time on the main box I just get the spinning logo but on the additional boxes it works fine. When will this problem be recorified please?

Have you tried the "kick your sky box off using a browser or app" solution suggested?

Obviously no one knows when the root cause problem will be rectified.

Yeah but is it loading? Because if it is, that's not the same problem as everyone else in this thread.

Re: Netflix Won't Load / Spinning Circle

@Chloe-W22

My Netflix won't load. I get the Netflix logo page and the red spinning circle but nothing happens. The page just doesn't open.
I've tried resetting my apps & it still hasn't helped.
it's very temprimental some days won't work at all & then I'll try it one day and it works fine.

the problem only happens on my sky q mini box in the bedroom but it works fine on the main sky box in the front room.
any ideas how to fix this please

thank you xx

There isn't one. Have you tried the suggested fix/workaround in the "Answer" post?

Re: Netflix often not working on SkyQ

I have noticed that now not only does it come up with the netflix word and loading circle when launching the app to get to the user log-on but once you click which user it goes to the netflix and loading circle again for a while (on the 2ndary box's now). Slowing down log-in as it used to come up netflix load - choose user then into the app, now theres an extra step.

Still having loading issues with teh main box (again), so its goign to be the case of wait till they fix the damn thing, logging out of netflix worked for a week before the issue came back again.

If you mean they've deliberately added a delay then no, that's not the case at all. Admittedly I haven't had this issue for a good while now (around 6 months I think) but I don't see any loading circle at all, it's instant from clicking on the app and then the same when clicking on our profile.

There's no way they can introduce a delay for only some customers either, so you've still got some sort of connection or authentication issue.

Try logging out of Netflix via your browser and see if that makes a difference again.

When you say "logging out of netflix" worked, are you referring to the "manage access and devices" and forcing the sky box off from another browser/phone workaround?

And if so, did you try doing it again when it stopped working again?

It's possible they can be doing a different sequence of steps for some people and not others, trying something out, they are famous in the software world for using A/B testing to test ideas and features, but it seems very unlikely they'd be doing that on the sky box app when there's this issue to fix and they don't seem to be getting round to that.
