When I delete a recording it goes into Manage > Deleted
This usually gets clogged up quite quickly for me, is there a way for these to be automatically deleted instead of having to manually delete them? Or are they automatically deleted after a month or so?

You don't really add to the deleted recordings as such - if the space has not been reused they appear in the list allowing you to restore them.
The system will use the space when needed so when it uses the space from a deleted recording, it will no longer be listed
Thus you really don't have to worry about how many entries are listed in the deleted recordings section
There is no need to go in and select permanently delete
As I said most customers probably never even go into the Manage - Deleted section

You don't have to delete from the deleted list - the system automatically uses the space when needed.
Most people probably never go into the Manage - Deleted option unless it is restore something accidentally deleted

But doesn't it take up space if you don't delete from the deleted list?
I've deleted programmes from there and noticed my disk space goes up after I've deleted programmes.

So effectively there's no point deleting from deleted? I could've sworn it gave you more space?

@FullLoader No real point
Deleting permanently from the Deleted section can sometimes cause showing a decrease in space used but leaving deleted items in the list just means the space is not always fully marked as released but is availble for use & it does not matter as the system will use it when needed

The box will automatically remove the oldest deleted recordings when it needs the space. There's no advantage to deleting them manually.
