A reboot sorted it, I can live with it for a bit, it's been good since I swapped 2 pucks out, overall more reliable than Q minis for me, which isn't saying much. At least the main Q box was rock solid and you could go to it when minis were playing up.

Glad to hear this is being looked into.

 

Just this evening I've had to reboot my puck three times to be able to watch TV or stream something different.

 

Hopefully this will get resolved soon.

I also love the ability of turning your tv off and then for maybe 10/20 seconds later you still get sound and not from the channel you left but from the channel you wanted to change to..

I have exactly the same problem and just keep restarting the box several times a day
The problem does not happen on the TV's where we stream from a Puck, so the issue is defintely with the Actual Sky Glass TV unit

I hope it will be fixed, as typically, our warrantly has just expired

Mine for the first time in weeks has been fine today. 

Checked build version and ui numbers, no change to them so can't confirm there's been a update, unless it was a fault with sky backend stuff

  • Same here, try to change channel and black screen. Pull plug on puck, wait several minutes for reboot and then it works for a while. The ability to change channels on a multi channel service is a fundamental function.

Same issue here for weeks, Gen1 updated to latest UI.  Constantly having to restart.. rewind and fast forward are very dodgy too ... same error message all the time sigh

Last week or so, random problems. Day before yesterday, my main box was next to useless, picture kept freezing, sometimes solid white picture, other times it kept losing sound.

 

Last night, perfect. Kept changing channels, no problems. So far today, perfect.

 

Fingers crossed they are updating something.

A temporary workaround is to perform a settings restart or power reset.
