Was talking to somebody today at the contact center they are refunding as a total loss of service.

It's getting beyond a joke now, had to reset the box three times in an hour trying to watch the football in uhd, gave up in the end and am seriously thinking about getting the dish on my roof reinstated, it's ridiculous now, got pictures freezing, unable to turn over without having to reset the box, sound still coming out of the soundbar when the screen is blank, having to reset the puck continuously, puck reducing to turn back on and being unable to watch anything in uhd without the puck having a meltdown as that's clearly not fit for purpose, every other thing connected to the tv and internet works fine, the ps5 and android box, never do either suffer from buffering or anything, only the puck.

I certainly won't be phoning to try and get a few pounds compensation, probably have to go through numerous hoops with a call center several 1000 miles from the UK, just not worth my time. My contract ends soon and I will not be renewing, plenty of other cheaper and more efficient options out there.

I climbed back onto my roof and installed a old school ariel. More reliable, getting fed up of this New Show called The Black Screen, it's just the same every episode. Hope season 2 is better.

Has anyone tried SkyGo on an Apple TV or iPad to see if it is any more reliable? Also does anyone know if the Now TV service gets it streams from the same servers?

 

I can use individual apps on the puck or my Apple TV for most of my TV viewing, but was a bit worried about sports, in particular the F1. I guess Sky have got a week to fix this before the next F1.

Well they had better fix it soon, as a power cycle every time you want to change channel is not fit for purpose. This should be priority 1 for dev.

Why does my glass tv not turn over and say technical fault please try again later this has happened for 2 days now. If switch off at plug a reboot seems to work ok for a little while but try turning over and fault messshe appears again!

Pretty poor support and service, also had the same issue for days too. On both the TV and Puck

Not had the lip sync issue before, watching the cricket, albeit on rewind live, it's about 5 seconds out, it's crazy. They'd better sort this out soon. So far that's all, it's showing in 4k fine picture wise, it's a new puck too.

Cancelled my contract today. Sky is an absolute joke. I was still made to pay for the subscription on the "puck" I couldn't use, but the only good thing was that they didn't charge an early termination fee.

For the last week, I have had endless trouble changing channels. Yesterday, it got much worse; I couldn't watch the TV channels for more than 30 minutes without a freeze or loss of sound. However, today, touch wood, no problems at all. 😀

 

I looked all through the forums on this site and others and couldn’t find any explanation, not even sure if it was at the Sky end or caused by software on the box. Annoyingly, the support/status pages didn't mention any problems at all.
