Texts not coming through for 2 step verification

My texts for 2 step verification are not coming through today.  Other texts coming through fine.  Slighly worried someone has managed to change the number on my account.  Anyone else having this issue?

I have had the same problem, but just today. However, 2FA seems to have been removed, as I no longer need to input a code to access my email through the Sky website.

Should say - Ive also tried to phone the Sky contact number - its saying that it cant link my mobile to any account so looking like definitely hacked - any tips to rectify?  Cant get through to speak to someone

Yes me to and tried verification code but this doesn't work either. Am I now locked out? This is so irritating I have had so many problems lately trying to get access to my emails!

Have you tried signing in with the recovery code ?

 

When you signed up to 2FA you were given a recovery code so if you didn't make a note of it then check the email you were also sent.


To turn off 2FA sign in with the recovery code so at the login select "can't sign in with the code" link. You'll then be asked for the recovery code.

@Doris72@Madge1 use the Recovery Code to turn off 2 step login by clicking on the 'can't login with code' link at the log in page. You can then set it up again later if you wish.

If I could get in to my emails then I would check this, but I can't which is the whole problem!

If you didn't make a separate note of the Recovery Code when it was displayed, or copy it to another email account, you're stuck, I'm afraid.

I found my recovery code as had saved it elsewhere, so now in.

Excellent news, so many people seem to just discard it, and then complain on here.

I would definitely suggest not turning 2FA on again.

It's easy to say "you're stuck" but I don't remember getting a 2 part code and if offered, I would not have not accepted it.

I spent a hour on the phone to someone at sky who had poor English and no answers, so what do I do?

It's offered to you on the login screen. You must have signed up to it, whether you remember or not. There's no other way 2 step verification can be activated.

Verification texts not coming through? Who knows, but I assume most people are receiving theirs, or there would be a lot more posts complaining.

So are you saying you didn't turn on 2FA, and so have no recovery code?

Edit:

@stradbroke I notice you have posted in a few different threads. If you start you own, we might be able to talk you through using an app/client instead of the webpage, and you may be able to gain access to your emails that way.

Same for me, still the same this morning. Don't remember receiving a recovery code either when I set it up. Can't access emails. Sky no help 😡😡
