Terrible Download Speeds (Full Fibre 150)

I was wondering if anyone could suggest why my Download speeds are so poor. I previously had PlusNet Fibre 150mb/s and consistently got that speed, however their prices crept up and I switched to Sky. My speed has consistently been under 100mb/s although this is supposed to be my minimum speed guarantee. I phoned sky and the advisor seemed genuinely uninterested. I was told that I had too many devices connected. When he asked what speed tester I was using and mentioned Ookla, he claimed that he had never heard of it (although it is the most downloaded speed app on play store). I was then told to use fast.com which is basic by comparison. In the end it was left in limbo with me asking for my speeds to be monitored. To be fair I was credited a month's cost of broadband back on my account but the issue remains. I have the newest white sky max router. Any advice or suggestions welcomed. Kind regards, Nathan

@Nathansc06 Ookka is better known as Speedtest.net however unless run overca gigabit capable Ethernet connection the result simply often measures the wifi speed in your home which is not covered by speed guarantee. Sky run a daily check on speeds to your hub which are reported in the Service Checker in the My Sky app wherecif you click through will give you the last month's results.

While slow WiFi is the most common issue the forum answers let us assume it is the fibre connection in your case. Openreach fibre uses a technology called GPON where a single fibre with capacity of 2.48Gb/s down feeds a distribution point which can feed up to 32 connections. Pretty onviously as that distribution point sells more connections you can get contention at peak times however in oractice tgst is rare as few people ever use tgeccapacity they buy including yourself. This affects every ISP using Openreach fibre including Plusnet.
