National lotto app won’t load or connect to server

Hi all of a sudden I can't get the national lotto app to open or connect to to the server. I have no restrictions, no parental controls and sky shield is off.

National lottery app

National lottry app all of a sudden will not ooen says a parental block. I have no parental blocks or restrictions and sky shield os turned off. Other gambling sites work.

@sophie165 & @Alc1 looks like the lottery have tech difficulties like so many sites at the momentsee https://downdetector.co.uk/status/national-lottery/

If the app or website doesn't work I'd suggest contacting the national lottery rather than Sky.

 

There is a good chance the national lottery services may have been affected by the Crowdstrike issue so perhaps all their online services still aren't working.

And indeed the national lottery have had tech issues reported since last night according to down detector.

I have the same problem. If I turn off my WiFi on my phone I can access without any issues. Turn WiFi on and app says a block is in place.

 

I havent changed any settings so this looks like a SKY issue.

this is not a sky specific issue, its a nationwide issue that the lottery operator is aware of and investigating

It's not a Sky issue. It has just been on the news that it's an outage affecting the National Lottery itself and they are unsure if it is connected to yesterdays global I.T. issues.

@Daniel0210 I get what your saying however this issue for me only occurs when using Sky internet. When I use my mobile network EE I have no issues. I have logged in, purchased tickets with no problems. It could indicate a problem Sky end not just the lottery side as using EE I have no problems. Be intrested to see if this works for anyone else in the same way.

This us a Sky issue not National Lottery App. I still have an active Virgin Hub and my mobile phone which connects without issue. On Sky I'm getting a parential guidence settings applied by suppliers VPN settings message. And my work pc is constantly losing connection.  Broadband shield turned off to try and address. This has only shown since this morning

@Grant29 not necessarily we have Sky broadband my wife is having this problem with her Samsung Galaxy phone connected by wifi yet my Google pixel 7 pro will connect straight to the National lottery website on Sky broadband so it could also be the devices that are being used

Same for me. Works if I switch to 4G but eill

fail to load the app or website for the lottery if I use sky wifi. I've not changed anything so assume a glitch related to sky as it's their broadband and hardware I'm using.
