A credit balance is nothing to do with actual paying the bill, a credit is money that is owed to you as this usually happens when manual payments are made and Sky also take it from your payment method so when this happens the payment you manually make goes on your account as a credit and stays there until it has either been refunded or it has been used to pay your bill and/or future bills.
So to be clear you want this credit refunded ?

Refunds can take up to 6 weeks from your last day of connection providing the payment method is still active on your Sky account. If your payment method has been cancelled Sky will have to manually raise a cheque (usually involving a back office team) and post it to you so it’ll take longer.
If you wish we can try to help get it refunded within 3-5 working days via the Messaging Team on here. Let us know on this thread if that’s what you want to do but please confirm in your reply it’s currently showing as a credit on your Sky account.

I’ve escalated your post to Sky and their Messaging Team should contact you later.
You need to watch out for a post from one of the team inviting you to a private chat and then you should see a blue/red speech bubble at the bottom of your forum page. You’ll have 48 hours to click on it and start the private chat or it will close automatically. If you fail to respond to a chat reply within 48 hours the chat will again close down automatically even if your issue hasn’t been resolved. Replies from Sky aren’t instant so you’ll need to check the chat thread fairly regularly.
This link explains what happens.

If your post is escalated to Sky' messaging team who should be able to arrange the refund you will need to respond to their chat within 48 hours so when you are able to do this feel free to post back on here.

Happy to take a cheque, or other means.
Please let me know what or who to contact.
Thanks.
