My dad uses the sky landline, he is deaf but implanted but it takes him a while to notice the phone flashing when it rings or notice it's ringing over other noises in the house. His friend who rings most often is saying the digital landline phone doesn't ring as long as it used too and cuts off. He used to just leave it ring ages until dad noticed. We've rung the phone ourselves and timed it and it's 33 seconds. My dad isn't happy and thinks we need new phones. We don't have voicemail so that's not the issue. Checked the handset and google but I can't find a way to increase the length of time a landline rings as all that's mentioned as far as I can see is voicemail. Is it worth asking sky about this? Dad said when he rings his mate it rings and rings for ages and doesn't cut off but he's with BT. It must have changed at some point as we never had any trouble before.
Is it the phones or sky?

It's not a fault he just needs it to ring longer in order to get to it.
Seems you know more about it than I do. To my knowledge, the phone should ring until it's either answered, the caller hang up, or the call is intercepted by Voicemail.
