On 13 Sept Openreach came and got the landline connected. The broadband is fine, internet fine but we are unable to use the landline yet. I was told that it would be about four days before we could use the phone as things had to be finalised with Virgin our previous provider. Nothing has happened yet and Openreach seem to be impossible to contact.

I have the same issue. Installed on the 20th sept (open reach engineer) and I spoke to sky adviser and was told there is a permanent engaged tone. It was escalated to their network team.
told on Fri it would take 72 hrs to sort it out. Today comes and now being told it will be resolved tomorrow!?
To top it off, still not sky tv!

Most Domestic faults are resolved within 2 working days, this does not include weekends.

Same thing
Service transfered.from virgin on 20th
Tv and broadband ok, but phone not working
5 phone calls, various hard re boots etc and still not working
Clearly there is a systematic issue combined wirh dreadful customer service.
£7 a day compo is due though for every day they fail.
