For incoming calls, my landline cordless phone only rings a few times before cutting the caller off. I don't live in a large house, but if I'm upstairs and the handset is downstairs, then I often struggle to get to it before it stops ringing. I ring back the most recent caller and get told that they don't stop ringing my phone, but instead it cuts them off after only a few rings. Is this something that can be adjusted? Is it the handset settings that are responsible or the phone service itself? (I have Sky Talk and a BT1100 cordless phone.)

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThe handset will only cut off the ringing tone when it diverts the call to your phone's answering service, if it has one. It doesn't sound like that's happening though, so I'd say it's a fault. Give Sky a call from your landline on 150 to report it.

Interesting.
Thank you, @Mark39.
No, indeed there is no answering service.
I shall call 150 once their offices reopen at 09.00.
Cheers!
