Re: Sky stream , honest review

Yeah I get ya. What I mean by holding off, they said I have 60 days to return sky q back to them. So I'll give it until then so I know I am fully happy to stay with sky stream

Note that the 'cooling off' period for Stream is only half that length of time.

Re: Sky stream , honest review

HAd stream for nearly a year - terrible product.

I have a stable connection  - but the puck keeps disconnecting from the the internet - cable or wifi - makes no odds

Now it is happening everyday. 3  hours with ISP to ensure nothing wrong with interent - puck the only device with issues - sometimes might get 20 mins before losing contact - technical fault my a**e.

Had 3 pucks, now need to dig out the phone number, if anyone on here has it, would welcome you to post  it. Phones rarely last less then an hour..

Wish I had just had a dish put up bit thoiught ,no, go with the flow. Bad mistake.

Talktalk, currently checking out that my connection and router are fine - could not find any issues - Neflix via tv app is gettting 55Mbps

a smart phone via wifi 62,

Puck is the only device that fails - just had it working, out of room for 10 mins - back to a blue screen, cable or wifi makes no odds.

And when you use a Ethernet cable you are turning off the WiFi in the settings then rebooting the puck ?

If the WiFi is enabled the device will prioritise that over the Ethernet connection which may explain why you haven't seen a difference.

I know from experience that even when you turn the WiFi off in the settings it typically keeps using it until a reboot is performed. You can perform a reboot via the settings

1. Go to Settings
2. Go to System Management
3. Press Select
4. Go to Resets and Updates
5. Press Select
6. Go to Restart Device
7. Press Select.

Note this will take a few minutes to reboot, so expect to see a blank screen for 2 minutes until the Sky logo appears as its starting up.

Or alternatively turn it off at the plug for several minutes.

Re: Sky stream , honest review

Tried that, twice, worked for about 15 minutes then went off again. Very frustrated now.

Re: Sky stream , honest review

I'm having exactly the same issues. I regret the day I decided to go with sky stream. I can't wait for September when the contract runs out, I won't be going with stream again.

Thought this was all down to sky's broadband as the signal wasn't brill, so switched to virgin media fibre and the I turned signal is brilliant but we still have trouble with sky stream on sky glass.

Re: Sky stream , honest review

I've had sky stream now for just over a month....i do think some of the problems are to do with which ISP you are with.....I'm using a 5g router....when I got sky stream I was with giffgaff (02 network)...and had nothing but problems...but after a week switched to smarty (3 network) and not had any problems at all...overall I'm very happy with how sky stream works.
