I am suspicious that they want you to move to sky glass and the puck is a separate product for other rooms.  Sky isn't a good enough company with strong customer service to support this.

That's how Glass and Stream was released in October 2021, but Stream became a standalone option a year later.  There's no in-premises interaction between the devices, and having a Glass television makes no difference to Stream reliability (or otherwise)

One distinct disadvantage of Glass/Stream is that unlike the satellite platforms there's just no room in the business model for the nationwide fleet of installers who have historically been the main Sky customer support delivery mechanism: as long as a person in a ladder gets the dish is pointed in the right direction, live satellite television generally works, which is rather different to the uncertainty of broadband and WiFi.

Re: Sky stream , honest review

I am FREE! 🙂  Gave notice to cancel at the start of January and my last day was yesterday.

Although I'd unplugged the puck and stuck it in a drawer a month ago awaiting the returns package - which still hasn't arrived!

I honestly haven't missed it at all and I'm saving £52 a month too! I doubt very much I'll ever return to Sky (directly) again, and I'm not just knocking Sky for the sake of having a moan. I wish I could have got satellite but that's not available where I live now. The streaming options were all that were available to me and I tried.. for 18 months 🙄 it was just far too unreliable.

The actual Stream puck itself feels cheap, inadequate, sluggish and not up to the job really. The same with navigating the menus and apps it was just too clunky and slow. If anyone's ever used an Nvidia Shield or Fire TV Cube (I've never used Apple TV but I believe that's also lightning fast and super smooth) - each of those devices are incredibly fast and responsive.. then use a Stream Puck the difference is incredible! I often thought 'is it broke?' then realised, no.. this is how it is.

That was my experience anyway, I know other people seem to have been lucky and had no issues but I believe there are enough posts here and other online forums to show that there are definitely unresolved issues with the Stream product / device.

I currently use NOW app (for sports only) on my Fire TV Cube and it's perfect!

Re: Sky stream , honest review

I was disappointed to notice that I'd lost my 25 least favourite Favourites.
I can't be the only one who used Favourites to exclude the channels that I can't watch or will never want to watch. Seems a pointless way of annoying customers. What do Sky get out of limiting the list to 49?
