Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
Yes , I am getting the same symptoms when using the sky PUC on sky sports UHD, I also have fastest sky broadband so looks like definitely linked to an issue with Sky PUC, does not happen on our Sky glass tv or when you lower the resolution to HD on sky sports .
I paid to upgrade to Sky UHD and is defo not worth it when using sports as so frustrating when watching football and even darts.

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
Just how many times do Sky need to be told- its not Broadband speed, its not a problem with exactly the same programmes on Sky Glass or it seems when people access these same UHD Sport programmes and others eg TNT Sports directly using Apps on a 4k TV, nor is it a problem viewing these programmes with a Puck in HD. When you remove ALL of the constituent parts WHAT IS LEFT it is the Puck or the software inside of it.......

Yep, same again while watching Cardiff v Chelsea on Sky Sports UHD channel 401. We can't all be wrong, can we?

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
It only seems to be Sky Sports UHD. I pay extra for UHD too. What's the point? It has to as you said, one of two things: Hardware or Software, or both. It's not the TV's and not the fast broadband connection. So what is it Sky?

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
Does it on both my 4k TVs with sky pucks. So nothing to do with setup if Sky is taking notice.

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
It seems the message coming from Sky is that it's the customer who is wrong and it's our set up. That's the message I am getting. When will Sky stand up and admit that the puck is not working correctly. There are so many issues.
How do they expect to grow the numbers if they can't get it right?

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
Isn't it strange that every other platform that shows UHD content from BBC iplayer to Netflix is perfectly fine on all my 3 sky pucks? But when Sky Sports UHD comes on, the problems start. If your reading this Sky, it's not your customers problem, it's Sky's problem. Your software or hardware, or both, does not work as it should do.

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
So I have got rid of my pucks on 10/12/25 and they have recieved them back. I have had no platform since then even though they said they would come out which they didn't do. Now threatening to come on 21/12/25 I don't hold my breath. They will stop at nothing to keep you on the useless PUCKS.

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
I do sometimes wonder if it's because the puck isn't allowed to go in to standby, because of some (European?) directive.
My Amazon sticks and Z10 just go in to standby and are always ok.
Having to get a new network connection every time it is switched on seems to really screw the puck.
This could be complete rubbish but I am right about things occasionally!
Happy to be corrected by Sky who have had years to fix these problems.

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
Still as bad as ever on UHD - 1GB connection hard wired into the router Cat6 Ethernet cable, 4K compatible HDMI, stutters all the time on UHD

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
It is what I'm doing now to be honest with you, doesn't matter if you use an Apple TV or even Roku and Firestick work perfectly with or without an Ethernet cable

Re: Sky Sports UHD picture keeps stuttering
- I don't think this problem is to do the Internet speeds, as the ad breaks are absolutely fine.
