SKY Go and Sky Stream

Hi,

I have recently purchased Sky Stream which is great to be honest, it works pefectly etc, however my Sky Go does not work and keeps saying that i need to upgrade my tv package, but i have a package which inlcudes one month free, I have tried all the help available both online and with the virtual assistant, but it still does not work. Interestingly, my tv package does not show on my account, does it make a difference that i purchased my Sky Stream from a retailer?

@Stewpot4  To use Sky Go or any additinal puck you need the Whole Home sub, did you order this at the time?

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

What device are you trying to view Sky Go on?

You should be able to use Sky Go on a pc, tablet and smartphone on two of those devices, without having Whole Home.

If it's on a games console or you want to use Sky Go on more than two devices, you will need to add Whole home.

Have a read of the Sky Stream faq, namely the Sky Go section here;

Sky Go will work on iOS on an iPhone without the Whole Home subscription but will not work on an Apple TV box without it.

The Apple TV version of Sky Go is also limited to 720P last time I looked. Sky won't let you use it as a full featured alternative to a Stream puck so deliberately restrict the resolution. It's also to try and prevent sharing of SkyID passwords. If full UHD/HDR was available on Sky Go then family members would no doubt be sharing their SkyID's to all and sundry which is against the t's and c's of your Sky contract.
