Technical Fault can’t download

For weeks now our mini boxes won't let us download anything. Can't watch recordings as say's technical fault. Can't watch catch up or even films on cinema etc.

 

we have reset everything from broadband to sky q box the mini box reset.

 

paying a fortune for a service that hasn't worked for over a month 

 

help!!!

Hi @Beton 

Try a Network Reset on the minis.  Start with the one nearest to the main Q box (or the Router if nearer and you are on Sky broadband.
Network Reset found in mini Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to WPS with main Q box.
You will be asked to press the WPS button on the main Q box (not the mini as the Network reset will start the mini WPS automatically).
If you are on Sky Broadband and the Router is nearer to the mini than the main box then you can try pressing WPS on the router instead of the main Q box. If you do this make sure you press the Sky router WPS button and not the router reset button.

When you carry out the Network reset on the second mini you can use the first mini for WPS if nearer than the main Q box.
If you cannot solve your issue contact Sky directly for an Engineer visit.
Failing all of the above you may need a Sky Q WiFi Booster to position midway between your main Q box and the mini.

It's not sky we've got BT/backed up with EE with extra mini discs it's not the broadband as all PlayStations/Xbox's etc work fine it's the minis that have just stopped working throughout house

hi @Beton 
Afraid minis when using WiFi do not connect to 3rd party WiF and will not connect to your BT Discs.

You need to carry out Network resets on the minis according to my earlier post

But have been working for months 🤷‍♀️ and then stopped working around Xmas time
