If your Sky Q box has a working internet connection via the ethernet cable then you will be able to access those apps.

Switching WiFi off Sky Q box

We have a son with electromagnetic hypersensitivity so we can't have WiFi in the home. We want to have Sky Q and have been told we can disable the WiFi on the box and have an accessibility remote that uses infrared. We will receive our sky through an ethernet cable which we do now with our present sky box. Would be better able to access Netflix, Disney, Amazon Prime, etc if we have ethernet connection?

Its only Netflix Disney, Amazon  Prime that you have from the Internet, and if you Sky box connected to your hub via Ethernet cable there should be no problem accessing them. The rest of your Sky service came from satellite via the dish on the outside of your property.

Re: Sky Q on ethernet cable

If your box has an internet connection it can access content available via the internet. It doesn't matter how that connection is being provided.

In any case an ethernet connection is aways going to be better than a wireless one.
