I have one Sky Q minibox and when I turn on the TV it is connected to and then turn on the mini box the box comes on briefly then switches off almost every time then I have to tur it on again and it stays on after that. This is a bit annoying why should it do this? The main Sky Q box doesn't do this. Both boxes are on wired connections not wireless.
There is a message that comes up on the screen just before it turns off which says something about the controls are on this device as long as it is connected to this HDMI source or something. I'm not sure what this means either.

Hi @basilfaulty With both your TV and Mini box on standby, try turning your SKYQ Mini box on first by pressing the SKY logo button on the top of yur SKY remote, which should then connect and turn your TV on?

Hi @basilfaulty
Exactly how are the Q boxes connected by Ethernet and to what?

I have a PlusNet Hub 2 router and my flat has ethernet cabling to all rooms.

yes turning on the Sky Q mini first solves the problem although it doesn't seem to turn on the TV as you suggest it might.

@basilfaulty you need to set your TV to HDMI auto connect, in your TV settings, thats if your TV supports this feature.
