Returning Sky Q Mini boxes

Iv upgraded to Sky Glass and been asked to return my Sky Q box which is fine however Iv also been asked to return my Sky Q mini boxes which I have 3 of. I don't understand returning the mini boxes as I bought these so surely these are mines now? I understand why I need to return the main Sky Q box.

You didn't buy them. You paid an admin/activation fee. They have to be returned to Sky as well as the main box as they are only loaned to you.,

No, you can't.  All Q hardware is loaned for the duration of the relevant contract.

Re: Returning Sky Q Mini boxes

I'm sure it was like £79 per mini boxes though?

@shaun+docherty It doesn't matter what the cost was, they still have to be returned as they remain the property of Sky(which has been mentioned several times in the replies).

See this link as to what you have to return, and what you'll be charged if you don't

(also note that by paying the charge doesn't transfer ownership to you).

https://www.sky.com/help/articles/charges-for-not-returning-sky-q-equipment

Without a Sky Q box, and a Multiscreen subscription they are just an expensive door stop. Any you see advertised for sale are basically stolen property.

Probably £49.  Still not a purchase price.
