Disney+ showing a blue screen

I use to have Disney + but cancelled it recently due to price rises so appreciate it now being part of the package.

the issue is I can't activate it

  • not through the link on the email I received ( broken link (we can't do that at the moment )) page
  • through the activation "click now " button on the home page ( blue screen of nothing happening)

any help would be useful

Hey everyone,

Thank you again for your patience.

I have been advised that the blank blue screen error has been resolved, I am going to close this thread.

If you have any other errors or error messges appear please create a new thread with a screenshot/picture of the error to allow the relevant team to fully investigate the issue.

Thanks,

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I still haven't got my Disney + working, Skype didn't sort it for me sadly.

Screen still blue, when I use activate code it says there's a problem.

Trying to active to Disney +

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

I have been banging my head of a brick wall for three days now. Spent hours on the phone to Sky and Disney and still I cannot get it activated. Following Sky's link I get the message "we cant do that right now " try later.

I do have a Disney account but I don't currently subscribe to it. I stopped it months ago. If I log into Disney it asks me ro restart subscription. I choose the £5.99 option and then it asks for payment.

If I use the Activate Disney tile on the Sky Q screen the screen says loading and I get a spinning circle for a few seconds then a blue screen and nothing happens. I've left it for 30 minutes and it just sits on a blue screen doing nothing.

The Sky Q box has been reset ... apps refreshed but nothing. And no one seems to know why or can offer any help other than try again later.

Can someone please give me an

idiots guide to get it working. The Sky email link just says "we cant do this right now" when trying to activate Disney.

😞

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Don't you just love yet another untested Sky release.

Sounds like exactly the same issue I'm seeing currently.

1. Via the Sky Q box, nothing for 10 mins then back to the advert
2. Via the web: "We can't do that at the moment"
3. Via the Disney+ app, it requests payment (then payment fails because I've purposefully given it a virtual card without enough funds - not falling for this approach).

Sky live chat advisor, claims 3. is the way. I'm sorry I disagree, that's me paying for it separately... no linking of accounts.

For all the Sky employees, bravo for overseeing another [removed]. Oh, the one previous, the AppleTV offer that went round and round in circles because the linking with Apple suffered similar shenanigans a couple of years ago... Oh and the one before that... nm, waste of breath, or rather typing expecting any different.

And Proz  hope you get it sorted soon, three days is persistence, I've given it three hours and I'm done 😄

Re: Disney+ is Now Included in Most TV Packages!

Seems like sky have no answers to the blue screen and not being able to activate disney. They should of tested it lots before role out. Lucky for me i already have disney full subscrition so im just keeping it as is. I spent hours trying it to change to sky and to just save a couple of quid not worth the hastle.

Re: Disney+ showing a blue screen

What is really, really, really annoying is the 'included in your Sky TV subscription' all over the homepage, plus the emails urging 'activate now'. These should be removed until Sky fix this, ie, get the back end links sorted out. How this got past testing I'll never know ...

Well it worked perfectly for a lot of us, took about 2 minutes for the entire process including setting up payment for Premium, so pulling it seems an extreme response.

This is a really weird problem, sounds like almost a resolution sync problem but people have it who have uses the app before. I wonder if there's a common thing between you all like the same version of the sky box or something.

Re: Disney+ showing a blue screen

Well, I called for help Thursday, an hour on the phone with somebody going through the same script I see in another comment here, and again Friday, where the call taker said they were inundated with calls with this problem and that I should try (activating) again in a couple of days ....

A problem like this probably won't be solved that quickly so don't get your hopes up. Likely to need Disney's involvement.
