I called Disney first as I thought it might be linked to an old subscription but they said it's a sky problem as we are not even getting an option to activate by sky ! Disney said what is meant to happen is that sky asks you to validate your email address which then supports the actual activation. All I get is a blue screen ! As for not getting my hopes up , I'm pretty really in that it won't be solved for a while my guess but updates would be useful about progress etc

It might be a Sky problem but it might be a problem with the app itself, which Disney will have created. Yes the tile which said "activate now" - I didn't notice if it started the app or something custom - went into a page which knew my existing disney+ email id (which is different from my Sky ID) and asked if I wanted to link the accounts. It looked like Disney style / branding.

I was Disney+ Premium and downgraded to the "free version" on Friday via phone chat with UK based customer service.

 

By Saturday afternoon I also get the. Blue screen.

 

Billing correct now at least so not paying for this rubbish.

Disney Plus will not activate

It come up with a blue screen saying the following every time I have tried for since it was announced its part of the package

 

"Thanks for your patience. We're exoeriencing High Demand right now andxwill be up and running as quickly as possibke. Please come back and try again shortly"

BLUE SCREEN, but also 'You're almost there! High demand..... Come back and try shortly. MYSKY_2306.' It's been almost a week, plus a call to Sky support and still nothing. Any indication of what's going on pls?

Hello folks. 

 

So I called sky I hung up on the three Indians that I spoke to not being racist [Removed].  Finally got through to a Bulgarian agent was very nice guy and said 3 to 5 days until they fix it. 

 

Anyone who has upgraded and/or downgraded their Disney plus subscription is now getting the blue screen of death.  They're working with Disney plus to resolve it.

What I find really galling is this email notifying (justifying!) cost increases in April:

This is ridiculous.... so you're emailed to say you have Disney + as part of your package and to activate, yet a week later still can't get it. All I get is the blue screen of doom with MYSKY_2306 and told to try again shortly!

I've updated the software, reset everything and still no joy. 
Rang and spoke to someone at SKY who sounded disinterested and just said, it's not SKY's issue, it's Disney and should be sorted in a few days ...... They've had LOADS of calls about it apparently....... so why wasn't this all ironed out before launching it to everyone (or not as the case seems to be .... 🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️)?

Following Sky's link I get the message "we cant do that right now " try later. It's frustrating !

This seems to impact anyone who downgraded from Disney Plus Premium to the free version.  Which would be many customers.    

 

Does not bode well for the other free versions of Netflix, HBO Max and Hulu as if they cannot get Disney Plus working surely same with those.

 

We should have ALL had access to Disney Plus on March 17th, not seeing any fixes for anyone coming from sky.

Success! After my call to Sky yesterday, I've tried activating this morning and it's all gone through! 
call me a cynic but it's funny how it's allowing me to activate it today but didn't until I rang them to complain...... 🤔🤔

 

Good luck everyone in getting signed up - if you haven't rung them to complain, then do it as you might just find that it gets resolved more quickly 🤷🏼‍♀️🤞🏻

I can't activate Disney plus , my tv just goes to blank blue screen after loading , 

it won't recognise the 8digit code as well
