Connect Ruark R410 sound box to Sky Q via HDMI eARC
I have set the Sound on the Sky Q Mini box to Normal, which works via Optical, but I cannot find a way of connecting via HDMI eARC. The Ruark R410 has eARC, as does my reasonably new LG TV set. When setting up the Sky Remote, the option to set up a sound box doesn't include the Ruark R410? It seems the Ruark needs the Sky Q box to provide PCM format, and no one in Sky technical could help with this issue. Does anyone have ideas on setting up the Riark R410 with Sky Q Mini Box via eARC HDMI

Coonect Sky box to TV (non-ARC HDMI socket). Connect HDMI LG eARC socket to HDMI ARC socket on soundbar.
Ensure all CEC enabled. Sync Sky remote to TV - volume requests should be passed from TV to soundbar (assuming it's supported). Optical shouldn't be required at all.

Connection using ARC over HDMI and pairing a remote are two entirely different operations.

For info @Bontfaen the 'Normal' setting on SKY Q is PCM Stereo
As the others have indicated this has nothing to do with setting the remote

Re: Connect Ruark R410 sound box to Sky Q via HDMI eARC
My real interest is my final question: "Does anyone have ideas on setting up the Riark R410 with Sky Q Mini Box via eARC HDMI?" Thank you, everyone, for pointing out my misrepresentation of a tenious connection with my real question. Be that as it may, the remote control sound box set-up is missing because it seems like Ruark is not supported by the Sky. If someone out there has either a Ruark R410 or R810 and has managed to set up eARC with a Sky Q mini box, then please let me know how you managed to do it.

Re: Connect Ruark R410 sound box to Sky Q via HDMI eARC
You don't seem to understand ARC.
ARC is for returning audio from the TV to sound device. So as above, the Q box sends audio to the TV and the TV passes it on to the soundbar.
It's not surprising Sky do not have codes for fairly niche products but then again they don't need to as you pair your remote with the TV... (and the TV passes it on to the soundbar over CEC)

hi @Bontfaen
I do not have any experience of he Ruark Soundbar but the above should work unless it does not suppport ARC/eARC
Set the cables up as per @PandJ2020 's post
I would suggest that you then use the TVs own remote & Sound bar's remote to check that HDMI control is set on, on both the TV & Sound bar.
note the CEC control may be not be labelled CEC but give som idea that it is for control of other devices - my Panasonic calls it Viera Link
On the TV you will probably need to set a Sound setting to use the external Source - on my Panasonic it is in a Sound menu and is called Speaker Selection and has TV or Home Cinema settings
Once set up this way use the tV's own remote to check you can adjust the volume of the Sound bar via the TV's own remote
Once that is all done just pair the SKY Q remote to the TV - do not try at this stage to seaparately control the sound bar.
The pariing of the remote to control the TV volume will result in controlling the volume of the sound bar if you have set correctly as above using the TVs own remote

This could be key, on my LG you have to select the sound output as 'ARC'.
