My TV set outputs audio via my av receiver and 7.1 speaker system. When first connecting my Stream box it outputs sound via this audio system OK. However after switching off and returning later the Stream box has interrupted the arc connection and my tv reverts to TV speakers only. Sometimes the Stream box also freezes volume adjustment. The Stream box does not switch off the TV or receiver either. In order to regain audio output I have to disconnect and reconnect all HDMI devices and power cables which is an enormous inconvenience. All other devices work perfectly until the Stream box is connected when sound to the audio system is lost. Turning hdmi control off in Stream box settings does not stop this happening either. I would have thought that electing not to have the Stream remote control the TV and external speakers would mean that this interference would not happen but it still does. I am now at a total loss as to how this can be rectified. I have tried a reset on the Stream puck and unpairing then pairing the remote, to no avail. I have also tried all sound output settings in the Stream settings menu. My TV and receiver model number are also entered in the HDMI control settings. The only tolerable way to watch TV is to leave the Stream puck disconnected and the I have the bliss of a system that works as it should. Unfortunately I am now paying for a Sky Stream service which has become totally unusable unless I am willing to put up with the disruption of disconnecting and reconnecting everything each time I want to watch TV. Is there a solution to this?

I had this when I had a Stream puck and it was infuriatingly never resolved. The only way to get round it was to buy a CEC blocker from Amazon. This stops the extranious CEC commands which the puck seems to output (even in standby) which interferes with other devices connected to AVRs.
Sky refunded me the cost of the blocker because of the inconvenience, but I don't know if they'll do this any more.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out more@GR26 you should not be getting this fault while it sounds similar to a fault @Padam_Padam is talking about that was sorted around a year ago. My own set up,suffered from the issue and the fix worked. Since then the number of similar reports has dropped to nearly nothing.
I would suggest you report the issue to Sky yourself as they have a team of engineers who deal with issues between their kit and third party equipment. If you post details on the make and model of both the TV and AV amp you have and confirm there is no other third party kit like HDMI splitters etc in the chain I or another forum Superuser will draw Sky's attention to your post so it can be fed back to the specialists by a second route.
In the meantime a CEC blocker like this should stop the issue if as seems likely it is rogue CEC commands.

@Padam_Padam and @Chrisee . I have purchased a CEC blocker which seems to have prevented the Sky Stream box from interfering with my Yamaha RX-V677 AV receiver and Sony KDL-42W705B set up. Also connected are an Apple TV box and an Amazon Firestick. All devices seem to function as they should at the moment although the Sky Stream does not turn TV or receiver on or off which is not a problem for me. I have not tried to set the Sky Stream to do this yet as I'm happy to have the functionality I have now acquired. I suspect that the disabled HDMI pin 13 on the blocker will have disabled this function on the Stream puck. Many thanks for your help with this.

Glad it worked for you too.
