Hi all, I've got an iPhone 15 through Sky and I'm 10 months into my contract.
if I want to upgrade to the new IPhone 16 how much will my near enough brand new iPhone 15 pay off my current contract?
I really don't want to be paying off two contracts?
thanks
Jackie

No.
The idea is you swap at the point you agreed when you started the contract. So, 2 years for a Swap24.
At this point the remaining credit on the phone should be close to the residual value of the phone.
Swapping now is likely to be costly. Any shortfall becomes payable immediately. If you have a Swap12 then it may be palatable.

I dont understand swap 24
Hi,
I'm looking at joining sky mobile but I see Contracts are 36 months but can swap after 24 for free? What is this? How does it work? I'm very confused as I've only ever had 24 months contracts....
Thanks

Re: I dont understand swap 24
Swap 24 is a 36 month contract.
After 24 months if you want you can swap your device for another one as the last 12 months should be paid of by the value Sky says your device is worth.
If you don't want to swap then you can continue to pay it off until you have paid it off in full and at this point it will belong to you so you will be unable to swap it.

Re: I dont understand swap 24
So unlike other contracts, after 24 months it need to be returned to sky? If so. What if the value of the phone is lower than the amount left?
I don't really want to be paying a phone for longer than 24 months

Re: I dont understand swap 24
@Kirsty49 You don't have to return it after 24 months if you don't want to, you only do so if you want to swap for a new device and begin a new contract.
Sky used to offer swap 12 which is a 24 month contract so it might be worth seeing if they do that for the phone you want.

No it isn't returned to Sky as that isn't what I said. You can either keep paying for it or if you want you can swap it for another one as the choice is yours.
If the value is less that what you owe then the difference is added to your next available bill,

Re: I dont understand swap 24
You can also keep it but keep paying for it and apply for a new phone if you want as again you wouldn't have to return it as you would just be ordering a new phone.

Re: I dont understand swap 24
I just don't get it coz why would anyone want to pay for another 12 months if you can get a new one but also keep the old one... 🤔
Sorry I'm very new to all this, I've been with Vodafone for 10 years on contract and that's all I've known haha

Some people are happy to pay off the last 12 months as they want to keep it and not get a new one that is why you have the choice as to what you want to do,

If you don't send the phone back at 24 months you can't get a new one and stop paying for the old one, you need to keep paying for the old one for 12 more months. You can order a new one at 24 months but you would then paying for 2 phones.
