Hi @caesarome , you keep suggesting this like we have not spoken to Sky sooo many times. Hours and hours of phone calls. They cannot fix it. We are enjoying venting on here and hoping someone will eventually find out how to resolve.

I have had this problem since early October, a number of other customers have also reported it on the forums.  I have spoken to Sky multiple times and get absolutely nowhere.  It seems to be at account level as the devices cannot be changed and I think Sky Go is therefore not able to play content as it can't update the device being used.

 

Sky have suggested they are working on it but my breath is not being held.

Thanks, yes had same issues myself with sky last one being today to which they said will be sorted by 7 days. Also questioned that the tech team are paid to know these things being there job and if they don't find them out. Maybe time to think about leaving them.

Multiple people are having problems with sky go so it must be something that they can fix rather than an indivdual problem.

Jumping on this thread to say I've had exactly the same experience. Sky Go suddenly stopped working on all my devices. Tried all sorts of troubleshooting, no change. 'Manage devices' is not working so can't troubleshoot it that way.

Interestingly I can still stream successfully through the Sky Sports app on iOS.

Sky go error

Because of a technical issue, you cannot watch this channel. Please try again later. 

 

This error message comes up on any channel in sky go. I have done all the usual rests and reinstalls and nothing has worked. Please help

Skygo and sky sports issue

When trying to watch sky sports on the sky go app it says I do not have a subscription, I do and can watch on the sky q box. Technical team said they know about the issue and it is affecting other people also. They have said that it may take up to 10 working days to sort it out. I have to say the service from sky is getting worse. I subscribed to tnt sport in July and it took them over 3 months to sort out the HD channels on my subscription. Cancelled sports today, not paying for something that I'm not getting the full benefit from.

So i went on the online chat with an agent. Same excuses , re-install, sign in/out. Which we have done on multiple occassions. This was at 20:20 and then several chats later. They then said hold on they are transferring me to a sky go expert at 20.45. So i wait. Then i try andchat to them and hey presto, they are closed for the day and they will get back to me for tomorrow. Unacceptable.

I have made a complaint with Skygo team.. after ringing a few times. This evening I have been advised they are aware of a technical error and are working to resolve the problem and  going to be rolling out an update once they can fix the issue. They can't confirm when but don't anticipate it being too long.. they know it affects a certain number of customers, not all! I have been given a £20 credit to my bill.. this agent is the first person who actually knew what I was talking about!

Having had this issue for two months now, I have been trying Sky Go most days... just in case it worked.

 

 And this evening, it has been fixed. Sky Go now works for me, and I can also now remove devices in my account. I've not heard anything from Sky but hopefully this will last.

 

 Anyone else had success?

As the issue is almost certainly at account level I think you're right, they may be working through them bit by bit. I really hope everyone gets sorted in the coming days.

 

 I'll drop Sky an email tomorrow and see what they say about what they're working on.
