NOT Fixed on OSX 10.13.6 High Sierra, Intel MacBook Pro mid-2015.
Following the reports of a new update fixing the issue, gave it a try.
Launched existing 23.5.1 version of SkyGo and allowed it to download the update (I've previously been working around the issue by disabling Internet connection before launch to prevent update of SkyGo).
It downloaded SkyGo 24.1.3-3 into Users/.../Applications as usual, launched itself in order to move itself into the final destination of /Applications - icon bounced in the Dock a couple of times and disappeared.
Exactly the same symptoms as experienced previously.
Exactly the same errors in the system.log as previously.

Deleted the new one from Users/.../Applications, turned off Wifi, launched the old one still in /Applications and it fired up fine. Then re-enabled Wifi and hit the Home button in the app to view programs as normal.
The original issue of the update failing therefore remains, at least for me.

If you have previously installed a non-native Apple Silicon (ARM) app it will already be installed.
If you haven't (or don't know if you have) MacOS will automatically prompt you to install Rosetta 2 when you launch a Intel (X64) app for the first time.
So yes, you need to have it (it is an emulator that enables an X64 app to run on your machine), but ALL you need to do is install it when/if it prompts you to. If it doesn't prompt you, you probably already have it installed.

Sky Go App does not install into Applications folder that you will see in Finder, it will be installed in the folder Path: /Users/*/Applications (where * is your user name)
Have you re-downloaded the installed after 3rd August? as there is a new version.
